Celebrating life, reflecting on the loss of life...
With British deaths in Afghanistan approaching 400 now and nearly 3000 coalition, that's much higher than Iraq and even the Falklands conflict. In the last 4 years alone Afghanistan has civilian deaths that amount to nearly 7000, or a yearly average of 1,646. These are reliable figures.
To this end, all the profit from this latest project is to be donated to Help for Heroes in suport of our wounded soldiers
The work is on quite a large scale, requiring an All female Choir (SAA), Solo Soprano, String Orchestra (including Harp and percussion), Piano Keyboards, Bass & Solo Soprano Sax..
To try and push things forward, I have taken a leaf out of the social media recording projects seen on You Tube of late; I've booked an engineer and recording facility for mid July 2012 to record the String sections and the choir. All the music is available for download below for anyone who would like to come along and join in the recording on the day.
You can get a listen to some of the demo tracks here.
If you're interested in playing or singing. make me a friend on Facebook (click the 'f' logo below) and join the event 'Help for Heroes'. All the parts are in the down load area. |
