The Cornishe was inspired not so much by a holiday to Cornwall, but the music I was hearing whilst I was there. Nothing in particular, just the melange of sights and sounds; you know the stuff.....

Its a small work (under 10 minutes) but divided into the legendary 3 sections (intro-quick slow quick) and the players tell me the last section is quite tricky!! Great fun non-the-less, I hope you enjoy the snippets (left). I'm sending the score and full recording off to the publishers in the vain hope they will see fit to include it in their cataloques.....

Anyhow, it was completed some time ago, but getting friends together to record it proved difficult until the last attempt, when we managed to meet and do the deed. The demo gives a good impression of what the work can sound like and I'm very happy with the results. Once again I am indebted to my friends for giving their time and energies for my cause.
